New Galaxy S21 smartphones comes with new look and more gaming power
Samsung has announced the new line of its top-of-the-line smartphones arriving in 2021. The Galaxy S21 comes with a renewed look, a futuristic design, improved cameras and, of course, more power to run the most demanding games on mobile devices.
Just like last year, the new generation of devices comes in three models – S21, S21 + and S21 Ultra, the most powerful and with the largest screen. All the Galaxys are compatible with 5G technology. However, just like Apple and its iPhone 12, Samsung’s new phones will not come with a battery charger included.
The Galaxy S21 series screens are 6.2 inches for the traditional version and 6.7 inches for the Plus version. The Ultra version has a 6.8 inch screen, the largest of the three models. The screen resolution, however, went down from 2K to Full HD. On the other hand, images run at 120 Hz, that is, much more fluid. In addition, both models are equipped with Gorilla Glass Victus, the latest and toughest version of Corning’s reinforced glass.
The new cell phones have between 8 and 16 GB of RAM (depending on the model and country purchased). As for storage space, the new Galaxy have between 128 GB and 512 GB, in addition to an expansion slot with micro SD cards. Still, new processors are 30% faster. In addition, they manage to generate great battery savings, which promises to last all day of use.
Samsung removed the charger from the box of the new devices, basically following the trend that Apple started with the launch of the iPhone 12. The company’s speech is the same as it’s competitor’s: reduce carbon emissions and the amount of electronic waste. Even with the removal of the accessory, the price of the devices has not been reduced.
Speaking of cameras, cell phones are equipped with three sensors, a 12 MP main with Dual Pixel technology, optical image stabilization (OIS) and f / 1.8 aperture, a 12 MP ultra wide angle with angle 120º and f / 2.2 aperture, and a 64 MP telephoto lens with OIS and 3x zoom. The front of the two has 10 MP with aperture of f / 2.2 and Dual Pixel. The Galaxy S21 Ultra, on the other hand, has four rear cameras, the main one being 108 MP.
All new Galaxy make 8K videos at 60 frames per second.
The Galaxy S21 will sell for US $ 799, while the S21 + is priced at US $ 999. The S21 Ultra is priced at US $ 1,199. All will start to be sold from January 29th.
